Recommendations
ØInstructional activities facilitate student learning (brain-compatible) when they follow the sequence of:
 1) listening, 2) speaking, and 3) reading and writing.
(observation should be occurring naturally)
ØAvoid providing lengthy word lists until after the students are familiar with the vocabulary words.
ØWords should be heard and spoken
before seen in written form to assure
correct pronunciation as well as facilitate
memory recognition and word retrieval.
